Visit from Oxford in the English Lesson

At the beginning of November, three editors from the Oxford University Press visited our school. Ms Melanie Good, Mr Jeremy Bowell and Mr Ben Wetz came from Oxford, to see how teachers use the materials produced by OXFORD. (more in the article)

We’ve been using the teaching and learning materials from OXFORD for twenty years, since the implementation of the extended language programme in our school. Materials, published by OXFORD are always of high quality and great variety. With the progress in technologies, materials are supported by other means and tools, which we also use in our teaching.
The editors from Oxford, with Ms Dana Krejzova, from the office in Prague, observed an English lesson, taught by Ms Katerina Schimmerova in a group of twelve pupils in the 5th class in which Chatterbox 3 was used. The aim of lesson was to use English to describe animals and guess them. The teacher invited our guests to get involved in the lesson, so they entered a guessing game with the pupils.
We thank the Prague office of Oxford University Press, dear guests and Ms Krejzova for their visit and look forward to our future collaboration.
